Our Mission
Our mission is rooted in the creation of nurturing genuine connections, where women are empowered to embrace their authentic selves and experience the magic of female friendships.
Originally the SF Women’s Social Club, we started by bringing Bay Area women together in the summer of 2023.
OUR STORY
What began as 100 nervous women meeting up on a tennis court one foggy June day turned into a community of 11,000+, buzzing with activity, and a social resource of events and potential friendships on Slack.
Somewhere along the way, we became so much more than a social club. This community became a vast network of young women in the Bay Area, sharing diverse knowledge, resources, and events to enjoy together.
We believe all women everywhere deserve a welcoming outlet for organic friendship.
A third space, if you will.
Forming authentic friendships in the Digital Age is really hard, especially post-college and for women working from home. Realizing women all over the country have this same problem, we decided to offer the heart and soul of our San Francisco community – the Slack group – to a handful of other cities: Austin, Boston, Seattle, New York City, Chicago, San Diego, and Denver.
In each group, you’ll find city-specific hobbies and events, as well as channels for anything that might interest you! And you can create your own channels too.
